The Management and employees of Tsomokos Communications, recognizing the importance of environmental protection for sustainable development, have developed and implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015. - Assessing the environmental impacts of its activities with the objective of reducing and, where possible, eliminating adverse environmental effects.
- Taking all possible measures to protect the environment and prevent pollution.
- Pursuing continual improvement through the establishment of environmental objectives.
Based on these commitments, the Management of Tsomokos Communications aims to:
- Implement actions for energy conservation, reduction of water consumption, pollution prevention, as well as the reduction and proper management of generated solid waste.
- Inform all relevant stakeholders about the environmental initiatives undertaken by the Company, with the aim of raising awareness and encouraging their participation.
- Train and raise awareness among employees to ensure their active participation in the Environmental Management System.
- Communicate the Company's environmental actions to interested parties in order to encourage their active involvement.
- Undertake initiatives for the sustainable use of resources, adaptation to climate change, and the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems.
The above policy objectives are achieved through the EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, by establishing specific and measurable objectives, regularly monitoring environmental parameters, evaluating the effectiveness of implemented measures, auditing the performance of the System, and reviewing its objectives to ensure their continuous enhancement.
